Investment Incentives Platform


The Western Balkans Six Investment Incentive Platform is the first of its kind in the region, providing detailed information on available incentives in each of the WB6. It is one of the key measures under the Regional Investment Area, which is part of the Common Regional Market Action Plan 2021-2024.

Developed with input from Investment Promotion Agencies (IPAs) across the region, the platform includes both financial and non-financial incentives, categorized by type, sector, and target audience.

It provides comprehensive information for investors looking to invest in the WB6. As an evolving resource, the platform will be updated every six months to ensure it remains current and relevant.

Brief description
Permanent revolving fund at the Union Bank Sarajevo, of the Federal Ministry of Energy, Mining and Industry for long-term financing of projects through the granting of loans for:
1) realization of the project of using renewable energy sources (hereinafter: RES) - for the production of electricity from solar energy for own needs and
2) investment in property, acquisition of basic assets and equipment directly involved in the production process and modernization of technological processes.

Eligibility criteria
description
The credit funds are available to (100%) private companies primarily engaged in manufacturing activities, excluding specific sectors like food and beverage production and water supply, waste water removal, and environmental rehabilitation. Eligible sectors include metal, electrical, automotive, construction materials, wood, paper, textiles, chemicals, rubber, plastics, and waste management, with beneficiaries required to employ at least ten (10) workers.

Applicants must submit a written request for loan funds along with required documentation outlined in the Public Call, on the company's letterhead, signed by an authorized person, specifying the loan purpose, amount, repayment terms, and indicating the requested project. Multiple requests within the current budget year are permitted, provided the applicant was not approved for funds based on previous requests.
