Investment Incentives Platform


The Western Balkans Six Investment Incentive Platform is the first of its kind in the region, providing detailed information on available incentives in each of the WB6. It is one of the key measures under the Regional Investment Area, which is part of the Common Regional Market Action Plan 2021-2024.

Developed with input from Investment Promotion Agencies (IPAs) across the region, the platform includes both financial and non-financial incentives, categorized by type, sector, and target audience.

It provides comprehensive information for investors looking to invest in the WB6. As an evolving resource, the platform will be updated every six months to ensure it remains current and relevant.

Brief description
This incentive aims to promote the adoption of electric cars in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina by offering subsidies to private companies and entrepreneurs for the purchase of new vehicles meeting specific criteria, including having electric drive (10.000 KM) exclusively, utilizing two energy sources (electric motor and internal combustion engine) for plug-in hybrids (7.000 KM), and incorporating both internal combustion engine and electric motor for full hybrids (5.000 KM).

Eligibility criteria
description
The subsidy beneficiary can be a private company or entrepreneur based in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, who complies with documentation requirements outlined in the Public Invitation, meets conditions set forth in the Public Call at the time of application, and when funds are available in the budget for subsidizing vehicle purchases, provided applications have not been assigned to other users. A private enterprise, under this Program, refers to a business entity established according to the Act on Economic Companies ("Official Gazette of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina", no: 81/15 and 75/21), not predominantly owned by the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina or any government level within the federation. An entrepreneur, under this Program, is a tradesman or self-employed individual registered in compliance with the Law on Trades and Related Activities in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina ("Official Gazette of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina", number T51/21) and relevant regulations at the federation and/or cantonal levels governing independent activities within the region.
