Western Balkans Six
Investment Incentives Platform
The Western Balkans Six Investment Incentive Platform is the first of its kind in the region, providing detailed information on available incentives in each of the WB6. It is one of the key measures under the Regional Investment Area, which is part of the Common Regional Market Action Plan 2021-2024.
Developed with input from Investment Promotion Agencies (IPAs) across the region, the platform includes both financial and non-financial incentives, categorized by type, sector, and target audience.
It provides comprehensive information for investors looking to invest in the WB6. As an evolving resource, the platform will be updated every six months to ensure it remains current and relevant.

Article 16
1. Investors may benefit from the following facilitations for investments that fulfil the objectives of the economy or the priority sectors referred to in Article 14 and 15 of this Law: 1.1. facilitation in imports for manufacturing or processing purposes, such as the import of machinery, raw materials, semi-products or other products; 1.2. exemption from export duty; 1.3. subsidies for the salaries of citizens of Kosovo*

- Eligibility criteria

The strategic investment must reach the value of twenty (20) million Euros, unless the Government sets another threshold by means of a sub-law, but not lower than ten (10) million Euros. Different thresholds may be set, depending on:
3.1. sector;
3.2. degree of development of the region where the investment is proposed;
3.3. investment in urban or rural areas;
3.4. possibility of employment or training of young people, women or members of non-majority communities;
3.5. the possibility of fulfilling another objective of the economy from Article 14 of this Law.
